Introduction

Kent Actors Connected (KAC) (https://kentactors.co.uk) founded by actress and casting director Carrie-Ann Simmonds is committed to protecting the privacy of our team in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. 

Media 

All personal media such as; websites, photos, emails and social media showcased within our site is provided individually by the actors themselves via an external excel document. For GDPR this document asks specifically for the actors to OPT IN or OPT OUT to their information being added to the website. Example;

  1. Actors can OPT IN to their profile, website, socials and personal email addresses to be added to the website.
  2. Actors can OPT IN to their profile, website and socials being added but OPT OUT of their personal email addresses being added to the website.

OR 

  1. Actors can OPT OUT to their profiles, website, socials and personal email from being added completely to the website.  

Principles of Data Protection

We adhere to the following principles when processing their personal data:

  • Lawfulness, fairness, and transparency – We process data legally and inform individuals about data usage.
  • Purpose limitation – Data is collected for specific, legitimate purposes and not used beyond those purposes.
  • Data minimisation – Only necessary data is collected.
  • Accuracy – Data is kept accurate and up to date.
  • Storage limitation – Data is only retained as long as necessary.
  • Integrity and confidentiality – Data is protected from unauthorized access, loss, or destruction.
  • Accountability – We take responsibility for complying with GDPR and demonstrating compliance

Data Retention

We only retain personal data provided for as long as necessary and only for the purposes collected. If an actor no longer wishes to be on the site or wishes for details to be removed / updated these will be removed (deleted securely) and/or changed within 72hours of notification. 

Individual Rights

Individuals have the right to;

  • Request corrections and updates to their data
  • Request deletion (right to be forgotten) 
  • Withdraw consent (Opting Out)

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites such as; spotlight, backstage, youtube, vimeo and instagram behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Our website does not require you to log on, so will not obtain any further data from yourself than that of which you have already provided. As a visitor to the site no personal details will be obtained from yourself.
