About me:
South East Kent-based Josie Kay is a working-class creative with a diverse career in performance, directing, and technical production. Starting as a dancer, injury redirected her to theatre, where she co-directed Mojo and worked in roles from acting to backstage tech for venues like Cambridge Corn Exchange and The Marlowe Theatre. Founder of Out The Box Theatre Company, Josie champions fair pay and inclusivity, breaking barriers for working-class and neurodivergent creatives in the arts.
